Experienced attorneys must complete their CLE requirement every biannual reporting cycle (the two-year period between your attorney registrations).
Newly admitted attorneys who are based in law offices outside of the United States may earn up to 12 credits through completion of CLECenter.com programs designated "content appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys."
Experienced attorneys may earn the entire CLE requirement of 24 accredited CLE credit hours through CLECenter.com. At least 4 of these credit hours must be in Ethics. Substance abuse credits count as ethics credits.
A verification code is embedded in each NY program to insure that you have watched or listened to the program for which you are claiming CLE credit.
Attorneys may carry over 6 credit hours to the next biennial reporting cycle, including those in ethics. Rules differ for newly admitted attorneys.
