Experienced Attorneys: May earn the entire CLE requirement of 24 accredited CLE credit hours through CLECenter.com. At least 4 of these credit hours must be in Ethics. Substance abuse and professionalism credits count as ethics credits.
Newly Admitted Attorneys: Effective January 1, 2016 Newly admitted NY attorneys may take on-demand audio or video courses in the categories of Law Practice Management and Areas of Professional Practice. The Skills requirement and the Ethics & Professionalism requirements remains the same; therefore newly admitted NY attorneys must earn those credits in traditional formats or formats that have simultaneous interaction. A verification code is embedded in each NY program to insure that you have watched or listened to the program for which you are claiming CLE credit. Experienced attorneys may carry over 6 credit hours to the next biennial reporting cycle, including those in ethics. Newly admitted attorneys may not carry over Ethics & Professionalism credits
