     Panelist Biographies


    Carole Levitt, J.D., M.L.S.

    President
    Internet for Lawyers
    Los Angeles, CA

    Carole Levitt is a nationally recognized author and speaker on Internet legal research. She has over twenty years of extensive experience in the legal field as a Law Librarian, Legal Research and Writing Professor (Pepperdine University School of Law), California Attorney and Internet Trainer. She is a skilled online searcher, focusing on legal, public record, investigative and business research. She is co-author of The Lawyer's Guide to Fact Finding on the Internet, (American Bar Association, 2004).

    As President and founder of Internet For Lawyers (www.netforlawyers.com), she provides customized Internet legal research training to legal professionals (with continuing legal education credit). Ms. Levitt has made Internet legal research presentations at the LegalWorks and the LegalTech Technology Conferences, the annual meetings of the ABA, The National Association of Bar Executives, the Association of Continuing Legal Education and the California State Bar Association, the worldwide Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher corporate attorney retreat, and at law firms, bar associations and library associations throughout the United States.

    She is the regular contributor to the Los Angeles Lawyer magazine's "Computer Counselor" column (reaching 25,000 attorneys throughout California) and has also written for the following magazines and newsletters: The Internet Lawyer, Computer and Internet Lawyer, Research Advisor, Nashville Lawyer, Bottom Line (The California State Bar LPM & T Section), as well as the following web sites: Internet For Lawyers, FindLaw, CEB Case N Point, and LLRX.

    Ms. Levitt is a member of the State Bar Associations of Illinois and California and the County Bar Association of Los Angeles. She is the Chair of the California State Bar's Law Practice Management & Technology Section and also serves on the Executive Board of the Los Angeles County Bar Law Practice Management Section. Additionally, Ms. Levitt is a member of the Association of Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA). She served as the Vice-President of the 400-member Southern California Association of Law Libraries.

    Ms. Levitt received her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School, where she graduated with distinction and was a member of the school's Law Review. She earned her Bachelors in Political Science and her Masters in Library Science at the University of Illinois. Ms. Levitt can be contacted at clevitt@netforlawyers.com.


    Mark Rosch

    Vice President, Marketing

    As Vice President of Marketing for Internet For Lawyers (IFL), Rosch is the developer and manager of the Internet For Lawyers web site. He is the Editor of IFL's newsletter, and writes and speaks about legal technology for firms and also on how to use the Internet for research and for marketing. He is co-author of "The Lawyer's Guide to Fact Finding on the Internet," (American Bar Association, 2004.)

    Rosch provides Electronic Marketing Consulting services to solo practitioners and law firms of all sizes that seek to create an online marketing effort or increase the effectiveness of their current efforts. Mr. Rosch has also helped law firms and legal consultants optimize their web sites to improve their Search Engine rankings. During his 16 years of marketing experience, Mark Rosch has developed, implemented and supervised the publicity, promotions and marketing campaigns for numerous and varied clients, from LLRX.com, the prestigious legal web site, to new media developers. Currently he provides web management consulting to the State Bar of California Law Practice Management & Technology section's web site.

    He has written on the subject of building and managing effective web sites for the Legal Marketing Association and Los Angeles Lawyer magazines. Mr. Rosch has also written about the application of computer technology in the law office for Law Office Computing, Los Angeles Lawyer and the Los Angeles Daily Journal among other publications. Rosch has presented at the Annual meetings of the ABA, the National Association of Bar Executives, the Association of Continuning Legal Education, the California State Bar and and in-house at various firms.

    Previously, as Vice President, Public Relations for E! Entertainment Television Networks, he was responsible for developing and supervising all publicity strategy and its implementation for the E! Entertainment Television cable network, as well as the company's newest network, Style.

    Prior to E! Mr. Rosch was Vice President of the Weissman/Angellotti public relations firm, working on numerous projects, including all television specials, events and activities of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (including the Primetime Emmy Awards), network television specials, new media projects including the launch of the TV Academy's first website in 1995, as well as numerous feature films including Like Water For Chocolate.

    Mr. Rosch is a member of the Association of Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) and the ABA, in addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society. He has also served as a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Public Relations steering committee, the Television Publicity Executives Committee and the American Film Institute.
