Marc Hirschfeld

CEO
Precision Legal Services

Marc Hirschfeld, Esq. is a member of the D.C. and Maryland bars and is the President and Founding Member of Precision Legal Services. Marc began his legal career as a law clerk in 2003 at Shapiro, Lifschitz and Schram, boutique D.C. litigation firm, and quickly gained experience in E-discovery matters. At the time, Shapiro Lifschitz and Schram was involved in a construction arbitration that involved over 4 million documents and with the help of advanced E-discovery tools, SLS was able to compete against a much larger firm and win the largest liquidated damages claim in a construction arbitration. In 2007, Marc founded Precision Legal Services, a full service E-discovery support company, providing law firms with cost effective E-discovery and hosting solutions.

Marc has been involved in managing large document collections through a combination of consulting, processing and hosting services and has assisted his clients in every aspect of the E-discovery process. Marc is also a participating member of the EDRM project, which was launched in May 2005, to address the lack of standards and guidelines in the electronic discovery market – a problem identified in the 2003 and 2004 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery surveys as a major concern for vendors and consumers alike.

Marc is assisting the EDRM project in creating search protocols to create efficient E-discovery processes and incorporate new technologies in the EDRM process to improve the search process. Precision Legal Services employs one of a handful of attorneys that possesses a CCE forensic certification from the prestigious International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners. The ISFCE is an internationally recognized organization that has certified approximately 1200 individuals across 28 countries in forensic computer anaylsis. The CCE certification has become widely accepted as a prerequisite certification for forensic examiners, recognized by industry professionals and academic institutions alike.
